INFORMACIÓN A LOS AUTORES - INFORMATION OF AUTHORS

Resumen

La Revista Colombiana de Cirugía Plástica y Reconstructiva es la publicación científica oficial, semestral, de la Sociedad Colombiana de Cirugía Plástica Estética y Reconstructiva, SCCP. Para el envío de artículos deben atenderse las siguientes pautas:

1. Aspecto general

La decisión de aceptar, revisar y publicar es potestad de los editores, y esto puede incluir resumir el artículo, reducir el número de ilustraciones, tablas y referencias, cambiar la redacción, o acompañar con artículos de discusión.

Los trabajos deben ser originales, inéditos y exclusivos para la Revista. Una vez publicados su reproducción deberá contar con aprobación del editor y crédito a la Revista.

El contenido de los trabajos, procedencia de las fotografías, las ilustraciones y demás puntos de vista son de exclusiva responsabilidad de los autores y no reflejan necesariamente los del Comité Editorial de la Revista Colombiana de Cirugía Plástica y Reconstructiva ni de la SCCP.

Los manuscritos deben enviarse vía E-mail, a: direccionrevista.sccp@cirugiaplastica.org.co, jadir45@gmail.com y en CD a Revista Sociedad Colombiana de Cirugía Plástica y Reconstructiva; Calle 127 # 16A-76 Oficina 304 Bogotá, D.C. Colombia. El autor debe guardar copia del material enviado. Los artículos serán sometidos al arbitraje por pares con sistema doble ciego. Es indispensable, una carta de solicitud declarando originalidad, no conflicto de intereses, aprobación institucional y de todos los autores.

2. Preparación de manuscritos

2.1. Los manuscritos deben venir en el programa Word de Windows. El material fotográfico, dibujos y tablas deberán grabarse en archivos separados (JPEG, GIF o TIFF) y referenciarse dentro del documento escrito. Todo el trabajo deberá enviarse en un disco compacto (CD) de datos.

2.2. Cada componente debe ir en página separada y se ordenará de la siguiente forma: a) título, b) palabras clave, c) key words, c) resumen, d) abstract, e) texto, f) agradecimientos, g) bibliografía, h) tablas y figuras.

2.3. El título debe ser sucinto y reflejar la esencia del trabajo, seguido por los nombres de autor y colaboradores, con los respectivos títulos académicos y la institución a la cual pertenecen.

2.4. Escribir nombre, identificación y dirección del autor responsable de la correspondencia así como su correo electrónico. Así mismo, especificar las fuentes de ayuda para la realización del trabajo, sea en forma de subvención, equipos o medicamentos.

2.5. Las palabras clave identificarán el tema y advierten los tópicos tratados.

2.6. El resumen debe constar máximo de 200 palabras, incluyendo propósitos, procedimientos básicos, hallazgos y conclusiones. Concreto, impersonal, sin abreviaturas, excepto unidades de medida.

2.7. El texto seguirá este orden: introducción, materiales y métodos, resultados, discusión y conclusiones.

2.8. El abstract, traducción del resumen al Inglés, es indispensable.

2.9. Los agradecimientos se harán en formato muy breve, mencionando únicamente el nombre y el motivo.

2.10. La bibliografía se numerará en orden de aparición de las citas en el texto, encerrado el número entre paréntesis, al final del párrafo correspondiente. Este número indica el orden de la bibliografía al final del artículo.

a) En caso de revistas: apellidos e iniciales del nombre del autor y sus colaboradores; después de los tres primeros puede resumirse: «et al» o «y col». Título completo del artículo, nombre de la revista abreviado según estilo del Index Medicus; año de publicación, volumen, páginas inicial y final. Para el uso de mayúsculas y puntuación sígase el ejemplo: Jelks GW, Smith B, Bosniak S, et al. The evaluation and managment of the eye in the facial palsy. Clin Plast Surg 1979; 6: 397-401.

b) En caso de libro: apellidos e iniciales de todos los autores; título del libro; edición; ciudad; casa editorial; año; páginas inicial y final. Para el uso de mayúsculas y puntuación, sígase el ejemplo: Kirschbaum S. Quemaduras y Cirugía Plástica de sus secuelas. 2.a ed. Barcelona; Salvat Editores, 1979: 147-165.

c) En caso de capítulos de libros: apellidos e iniciales de los autores del capítulo; título del capítulo; autores y editores del libro; título del libro; edición; ciudad; casa editorial; año; páginas inicial y final. Para el uso de mayúsculas y puntuación sígase el ejemplo: Kurzer A, Agudelo G. Trau- ma de cabeza y cuello. Facial y de tejidos blandos, en: Olarte F, Aristizábal H, Restrepo J, eds. Cirugía. 1ª ed. Medellín: Editorial Universidad de Antioquia; 1983: 311-328. En la sección de bibliografía no se debe citar comunicaciones personales, manuscritos en preparación y otros datos no publicados; estos se pueden mencionar en el texto, colocándolos entre paréntesis.

2.11. Las tablas y cuadros se denominarán «tablas», y llevarán numeración arábiga en orden de aparición; el título correspondiente debe ir en la parte superior de la hoja y las notas en la parte inferior. Los símbolos para unidades deben aparecer en el encabezamiento de las columnas.

2.12. Las fotografías, gráficas, dibujos y esquemas se denominarán «figuras», se enumeran según orden de aparición, incluyendo la respectiva leyenda para cada una. Cuando se trate del mismo caso se usará el número correspondiente seguido de las letras del alfabeto sucesivas, ejemplo: figura 1A, figura 1B, etc. Si una figura ha sido publicada, se requiere el permiso escrito del editor y el crédito a la publicación original. Igual en caso de personas identificables.

2.13. Las cartas al editor son comentarios cortos sobre algún material previamente publicado, u opiniones personales que se consideran de interés inmediato para la cirugía plástica; en este caso la comunicación debe llevar un título.

2.14. El título resumido de los artículos publicados aparece en la carátula y en las páginas impares interiores, por lo cual el autor debe sugerirlo.

2.15. La Revista Colombiana de Cirugía Plástica y Reconstructiva no asume responsabilidad por las ideas expuestas por los autores.

2.16. Para las citas bibliográficas la abreviatura de la Revista es Rev Colomb Cir Plást Reconstr.

The Colombian Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is the official, semi-annual scientific publication of the Colombian Society of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery (SCCP). The content of the works, the origin of the photographs, illustrations, and other points of view are the exclusive responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the Editorial Committee of the Colombian Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery or the SCCP. When submitting articles, the following guidelines should be addressed:

1.0 General Aspects

The decision to accept, review, and publish is the sole discretion of the editors. This may include summarizing the article, reducing the number of illustrations, tables, and references, rewording, or accompanying it with discussion papers.

Entries must be original, unpublished, and exclusive to the Journal. Once published, reproduction must have the editor's approval and credit the Journal.

Manuscripts should be submitted via email to: direccionrevista.sccp@cirugiaplastica.org.co and jadir45@gmail.com, and on a CD to Revista Sociedad Colombiana de Cirugía Plástica y Reconstructiva; Calle 127 # 16A-76 Office 304 Bogotá, D.C. Colombia. The author should keep copies of the material submitted. Articles will be subjected to a double-blind peer review system. An application letter is indispensable, stating originality, no conflict of interest, and institutional and author approval.

2.0 Preparation of Manuscripts

2.1. Manuscripts should be submitted in the Windows Word program. Photographs, drawings, and tables should be saved in separate files (JPEG, GIF, or TIFF) and referenced within the written document. All work must be submitted on a data compact disc (CD).

2.2. Each component must be on a separate page and ordered as follows: a) title, b) keywords, c) key words, d) summary, e) abstract, f) text, g) acknowledgements, h) bibliography, i) tables, and j) figures.

2.3. The title should be concise and reflect the essence of the work, followed by the names of the author and collaborators, with their respective academic degrees and the institution to which they belong.

2.4. Write the name and address of the author responsible for correspondence and their email. Also, specify the sources of support for the work in the form of grants, equipment, or drugs.

2.5. Keywords will identify the theme and topics covered.

2.6. The summary should contain up to 200 words, including purposes, basic procedures, findings, and conclusions. It should be specific, impersonal, and without abbreviations, except for units of measurement.

2.7. The text will follow this order: introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, and conclusions.

2.8. The abstract, which is the English translation of the summary, is indispensable.

2.9. Acknowledgements will be in a very short format, mentioning only the name and the reason.

2.10. The bibliography is numbered in order of appearance of the citations in the text, with the number enclosed in parentheses at the end of the corresponding paragraph. This number indicates the order of the bibliography at the end of the article.

• For journal articles: list the surname and initials of the author and their collaborators. After the first three, you can summarize with "et al." or "et al." Include the full title of the article, the abbreviated name of the journal according to Index Medicus style, the year of publication, volume, and the first and last pages. For capitalization and punctuation, follow this example: Jelks GW, Smith B, Bosniak S, et al. The evaluation and managment of the eye in the facial palsy. Clin Plast Surg 1979; 6: 397-401.

• For a book: list the surnames and initials of all authors, the title of the book, edition, city, publishing house, year, and the first and last pages. For capitalization and punctuation, follow this example: Kirschbaum S. Burns and Plastic Surgery of its aftermath. 2nd ed. Barcelona; Salvat Publishers, 1979: 147-165.

• For book chapters: list the surname and initials of the chapter's authors, the chapter title, the book's authors and editors, the book's title, edition, city, publishing house, year, and the first and last pages. For capitalization and punctuation, follow this example: Kurzer A, G. Agudelo head and neck trauma. Facial and soft tissue, in: Olarte F, H Aristizabal Restrepo J, eds. Surgery. 1st ed. Medellin: Editorial University of Antioquia; 1983: 311-328.

In the bibliography section, do not cite personal communications, manuscripts under preparation, and other unpublished data. These can be mentioned in the text by placing them in brackets.

2.11. Tables and charts will be referred to as "tables" and will be numbered with Arabic numerals in order of appearance. The corresponding title should be at the top of the sheet and notes at the bottom. Symbols for units should appear in the column headings.

2.12. Pictures, graphics, drawings, and diagrams will be referred to as "figures" and numbered according to their order of appearance, including the respective caption for each one. When referring to the same case, use the corresponding number followed by successive letters of the alphabet, e.g., Figure 1A, Figure 1B, etc. If a figure has been previously published, written permission from the editor and credit to the original publication is required. The same applies if identifiable people are shown.

2.13. Letters to the editor are short comments on some previously published material or personal opinions that are of immediate interest for plastic surgery. In this case, the communication must have a title.

2.14. The abbreviated title of the published articles appears on the cover and inside on odd pages, so the author should suggest it.

2.15. The Colombian Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery assumes no responsibility for the ideas expressed by the authors.

2.16. For short citations of the journal, the abbreviation is Rev Colomb Cir Plást Reconstr.
